MIND  AND  BRAIN  IV

IMAGES OF THE WORKING BRAIN

C o u r s e   D e s c r i p t i o n

The International course Mind and Brain IV: IMAGES OF THE WORKING BRAIN will focus on functional brain imaging methods and their noninvasive, revolutionary insight into human brain functions in health and disease. The invited well-known researchers will give tutorials and bring latest research results on methodology development as well as basic and clinical applications of major functional brain imaging techniques such as magnetoencephalography (MEG), electroencephalography (EEG), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), positron emission tomography (PET), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and optical imaging (OI).

The Course program should be of interest to advanced graduate students, postdocs, and MD's to give them a unique prospective on the latest achievements to capture and interpret the working brain signals and opportunity for an active participation that will be encouraged via oral presentations of their preliminary research results. In addition, course participants will benefit greatly from informal discussions and gatherings with some of the best researchers in the field. The city of Dubrovnik, a jewel on the Adriatic¡¯s, and its InterUniversity Centre offer an excellent setting for such an event.

The course will be open to 50 participants.

Early registration is recommended.

Abstract submission is encouraged but not required.
